Terms of Service

txtnode is a free website offering a notes and task workspace plus a set of developer tools. It is operated independently by Abhay Vachhani and is not a registered company.

Anyone can use the site without an account. Signing in with Google is optional and opens a personal dashboard.

Read this before you save anything. A note or task list saved at a URL can be opened, edited, or deleted by anyone who visits or guesses that URL. There is no password, no ownership, and no access control.

Never store passwords, API keys, financial details, personal data, or anything confidential in a note or task list. You accept this risk when you use these features, and we are not responsible for content that is read, changed, or removed by someone else.

You can sign in with a Google account. Keeping that Google account secure is your responsibility, since anyone who can use it can sign in to txtnode as you. What we store about your account is described in the Privacy Policy.

Signing in does not change section 2. Notes and tasks stay public and unprotected whether you are signed in or not.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us from the address you signed in with. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.

txtnode is not a backup service. We do not guarantee that anything you save will still be there later. Content may be lost through technical failure, overwriting by another visitor, or removal by us. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.

You may not use txtnode to create, store, or share:

• •Anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• •Sexually explicit material, or any material involving the exploitation of minors.
• •Content that harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence or hatred against any person or group.
• •Malware, phishing pages, spam, or links intended to deceive or defraud.
• •Other people’s personal or confidential information, published without their consent.

You also may not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure, or scrape it in a way that degrades service for others.

You keep ownership of whatever you write on txtnode. We claim no rights over it beyond what we need to run the site: permission to store, display, and transmit it so the service works.

You are responsible for what you save, and you confirm you have the right to save it. Content written by visitors is not reviewed in advance and does not represent our views.

You can share a note or folder from your account, either by inviting an email address or by making a link that anyone holding it can use. What you share stays yours: you decide whether someone may read it or change it, and you can take that back at any time.

Sharing identifies you. The people you share with see the name and email address on your account, and you see theirs once they accept. Only share with people you are willing to be known to.

A link is only as private as the people who hold it. Anyone who opens one can take the access it offers, up to the number of people the item allows, and they may pass it on. Treat a link as public once it leaves your hands, and revoke it if you are unsure.

If something is shared with you, it belongs to the person who shared it. What you write in it while you have editing access is stored in their account, counts against their storage, and stays there when your access ends. Do not accept an invitation from someone you do not recognise, and never enter passwords or personal details into something somebody shared with you.

You are responsible for what you share and with whom. Sharing content that breaks section 5 is a breach of these terms whether it is public or shared with one person.

If you find content on txtnode that breaks these terms, infringes your rights, or exposes your personal information, email abhay@txtnode.com with the URL and a short explanation. We review reports and remove content that violates these terms.

We may remove any content, suspend or delete an account, or block access to the site, at our discretion and without notice.

The developer tools on this site run entirely in your browser. They are provided for convenience, and you should check their output before relying on it for anything important. Passwords and identifiers they generate are produced in your browser using your browser’s cryptographic functions; you use them at your own risk.

The blog is written by us. The articles, and the pictures in them, belong to us and are not covered by section 6, which is about your content rather than ours.

You are welcome to read it, link to it, and quote from it with attribution and a link back. Republishing a whole article elsewhere, or presenting it as your own, is not permitted without asking first. Feeding it to a model as training data is not something we grant here.

Articles describe how we build things and what we decided at the time. They are not professional advice, they go out of date, and code in them is illustrative. Check anything before you rely on it.

Some pages show ads, marked “Sponsored”. Most promote txtnode, and some are paid for by other businesses. An ad is not an endorsement. Anything you buy from or agree with an advertiser is between you and them, and we are not responsible for their products, claims, or conduct.

This site links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for external sites, their content, or their privacy practices. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.

txtnode is free and provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, without notice and without liability to you.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of txtnode. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we do. Continuing to use txtnode after a change means you accept the revised terms.
