Bugs and broken things
A tool giving the wrong output, a note that failed to save, a page that will not load. Include the URL and roughly when it happened.
Ideas for new tools
Most tools here exist because the same small task kept coming up. If something you do by hand every week could be a page on this site, say so.
Content removal
Notes and task lists are public to anyone with the URL. Send the link and it will be removed. Abusive or infringing content is handled the same way.
Privacy requests
Questions about what is stored, or requests to delete something. Since there are no accounts, include the specific URL or the address you wrote from.
Before you write
A few things come up often enough to answer here. If one of these covers your question, you have your answer without waiting on a reply.
I lost a note. Can you recover it?
Usually not. Notes are stored against the URL you chose, and anyone who opens that URL can edit or clear it. There is no version history and no per-user copy to restore from. If you remember the exact URL, open it first, since the content may still be there.
Can you make a note private?
No. Notes and task lists have no passwords or access control by design, which is what makes them work without an account. Anything you need to keep private should live somewhere else.
Do the tools send my data anywhere?
No. The JSON formatter, password generator, UUID generator, case converter, URL encoder, timestamp converter, and Markdown converter all run entirely in your browser. You can confirm it by watching the network tab while you use them.
Is txtnode free, and will it stay free?
Everything on the site is free with no paid tier. The site carries advertising on its editorial and tool pages, which is what covers running costs.
Can I write a guest post or buy a link?
No to both. Articles here are written in-house, and paid or exchanged links are not accepted. Messages offering either will not get a reply.
